Beginning: Operation starts at 20 o'clock.
Come early to look over the layout and to make familiar with the timetable and operation procedure. We use verbal Train orders and Clearences.

Concept

Westport is the operation center for the industrial districts Third Street, Plywood and Harbor. Trains in the morning bring cars from International Falls and in the afternoon from South Jct. Likewise the cars are brought by transfer trains there. In Westport the classification takes place. The operation of the industrial districts takes place via extras. In the morning an extra runs to Harbor District and set out in Third Street District cars with this destination. On the return trip the cars for South Jct become predominant carried forward, in the afternoon for International Falls. The operation of the Plywood District works via extra in the belt line Westport - Plywood District - Westport (via Harbor Jct.). In Westport still the local industries are served by switcher. Depending upon need a Grain Extra brings cars and/or pick up.

Train Sheets

Harbor Turn

Extra 512 east in the morning / Extra 1024 east in the afternoon
Start in Westport, train has 2 blocks,
1. Third Street District and 2. Harbor District
drives into Third Street into Main and set out first block in siding, goes on then.
At the Jct. to Harbor District stop, if necessary throw the turnout, switch on road crossing light, proceed, after clearing the crossing stop again, throw turnout in basic position back, road crossing light, proceed.
At Harbor District pick up cars, max 8 cars.
Pick up at return trip in Third Street District:
In the morning: prefers car direction South Jct.
In the afternoon: prefers car bound for Int.Falls.
Return trip: Branch as had, if the train is too heavy: doubling the hill!
At Third Street cars out off siding. If the train is too heavy (more than 12 cars), then the Third Street switcher works as helper.

Plywood turn

Extra 50 east
Train serves Plywood District
Start at Westport
Train runs through Third Street District, yard limit and reduced speed considers, crossing flashes automatically (meant).
Cars set out, cars pick up.
Run on over Harbor Jct. after Westport.

Third Street switcher

In first trick provide cars for South Jct. at Interchange track preferred. Deliver cars brought with Harbor Extra. If needed make helper for Extra.
Attention!: 10:55 am track must be free for # 60, RDC coming from Harbor Jct.
Second trick Zweite Schicht akin, now prefer cars for International Falls.

Westport Switcher

1st trick
Make up Harbor turn (max 16 cars, (8 for Third Street and 8 for Harbor District) on A/D track with Caboose, engine from facility.
Make up International Falls Transfer # 111 at A/D track, departs after arrival of #110. Classify #110, take off engine and caboose before.
Make up Plywood Extra at A/D track with engine and caboose.
Pull cars for Grain Extra from industries and class tracks.
Switch Westport cars.
Classify cars from Harbor Turn.

2nd trick
Make up Harbor turn (max 16 cars, (8 for Third Street and 8 for Harbor District) on A/D track with Caboose, engine from facility.
Make up South Jct. Transfer # 190 at A/D track, departs after arrival of #191. Classify #191, take off engine and caboose before.
Make up Plywood Extra at A/D track with engine and caboose.
Deliver Westport cars.
Classify cars from Harbor Turn.
